If you weren't there, you missed out!

On Saturday April 12th, A Salon 7 celebrated their 4th anniversary with their annual White Party!
I missed out last year. So when I found out the date for this year's party, I started planning my outfit right away! What I love most about this is that this party isn't just about A Salon 7, it's about the community. A Salon 7 raised money for many different charities ranging from Northern Nevada H.O.P.E.S. to Special Victims and Survivors of Cancer.

I loved the fact that is was a White Party and not the kind you hear about on the circuit. This was people who love Reno, love our gay community, and want to make a difference. I mean really, it's not that hard to help our community, especially when a fantastic party is involved with a Fashion Show of local designers, a performance by the Little City Kings, DJ Dolla Dolla, not to mention free drinks, and the CUTEST underwear to buy. Who wouldn't want to go?! The fashion show was amazing as well, with fashions from local boutiques like Rad Bettys and other fantastic garments created by local designers, it truly was an amazing show! Club Carnival's Molly D and Nikki Q of A Salon 7 were the charismatic hosts for the evening. Jenny O gave a heart felt Thank you to everyone who came to partake in the festivities of the evening.

The party didn't end there though! Club Carnival hosted an amazing after party with two for one cocktails. Everyone from the party got their swerve on to the fabulous mix of music provided by Christophe. So big thanks to Club Carnival for opening their doors to host the after-hours party! All in all I’d have to say it was one of the best nights out I’ve had in quite some time! Good going A Salon 7 and Club Carnival for showing Reno how to rock!

I JUST WANT TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THANK OUR FABULOUS GAY AND LIBERAL MINDED COMMUNITY. WE DO WHAT WE DO BECAUSE IT IS OUR DUTY TO GIVE BACK. ITS JUST THE RIGHT THING TO DO. I AM NOT A RICH PERSON BY ANY MEANS BUT IT WOULD BE SILLY TO NOT HELP THE WONDERFUL COMMUNITY I INHABIT. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE CHARIRITES IS CLOSE MY HEART, MY STAFF, AND EVERY SINGLE STRANGER WE COME INTO CONTACT WITH. DONT GET ME WRONG SOMETIMES I WONDER WHY I GIVE MYSELF SUCH A HEADACHE WITH THE PLANNING, THE COST, ETC. BUT WHEN YOU SEE THE SMILES THE FUN DRUNK AND THE HAPPY TEARS. IT JUST MAKES ME REALIZE WHAT MY DESTINY IS.:) I LOVE MY TOWN, THE SMALL BUT THRIVING GAY AND LESBIAN COMMUNITY, AND THE ADVOCATES WHO ARE TRYING -JUST LIKE ME- TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. UNTIL NEXT YEAR RENO----WE WILL PROMISE TO KEEP MAKIN YOU PRETTY...NEXT YEARS PARTY IS ON APRIL 11TH SOMETHING EVEN BETTER THAN THIS YEAR!!!!
