an unexpected opinion - why i don’t believe in gay marriage

so this blog will inevitably get me into trouble, i'm sure. some people really don't know how to handle opposing or different viewpoints.

but anyways, i was talking about this yesterday, and the other day, and a lot. i love talking about politics, and this inevitably comes up as its one of the most debated topics among american politics today.

Throughout this long and tiresome presidential campaign we have heard where the candidates stand on gay issues, but which candidates is really the best for the GLBT community ?. On May 15th The California state supreme court made a staggering decision by declaring the ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional, already there are plans to fight the supreme court decision from religious nuts in that state. The upcoming presidential election will be a great opportunity for the GLBT community to stand up for ourselves and elect a president that will not infringe our rights.

It is not in the nature of YourGayReno.com to be political, and we do not support either candidate or party. However, I sent a request to the head honchos at both the Washoe GOP and the Washoe Dems saying that "the Democratic Party takes the gay vote for granted, and the GOP ignores it altogether.." and invited them to use the site to reach the GLBT audience. Guess who responded...

The Dems. So I will be posting their events on the website, and the invitation to the GOP is still open.

YourGayReno is not, I repeat NOT, politically oriented, and does not support either party. We will post the information we get, but I will not actively seek any more.

There. No endorsement except to endorse voting.
