Join ARP and author/historian Paul Cain as he pulls another wonderful film from his extensive archive,
Thursday, September 11th, 7PM at A Rainbow Place, 2890 Vassar St, corner of Telegraph St., Reno.

"A modern Venice, the city of Key West models the vision of diversity. Showing the power of cultures coming together to make the individual pieces stronger. Key West becomes the inspiration for the 25th anniversary of the original Rainbow Flag as city officials bring their concept for a Sea to Sea flag to the originator of the Rainbow, Gilbert Baker. Gilbert's construction of this 8,000 foot 3 ton Rainbow Flag* becomes the metaphor for both the community and diversity itself. The individual stories of struggle, heartbreak and triumph weave together a lesson relevant to Companies and Communities all over the World who are trying to harness the dream of diversity. Key West is both the beginning of the World and The end of the Road. Whatever your choice may be, the flag and the people who celebrated it see Key West as home. A place where they are judged not by what they earn, who they "are", but by what is in their hearts."

"Key West: City of Colors is a film about a community funded entirely by that community for the benefit of the community. Citizens of Key West, from different walks of life and beliefs pooled their resources together to produce this film and have donated all proceeds from the sale back into their community. Sending a message to the world of how one small community has redefined the term acceptance."
